Quality Of Life: Fake Acb Racket Busted In Kota | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The anti-corruption bureau (ACB) in Kota has busted a racket that involved sending notices on counterfeit letterheads of the ACB headquarters to government officials.
These notices alleged financial irregularities and demanded money from officials. The investigation revealed that the gang operating the racket had extorted substantial amounts of money from officials in various districts, including in Baran, Dungarpur, and Nagaur.
A press statement released by the agency on Thursday reads that members of the gang used to contact government officials by creating fake letterheads of the ACB headquarters and providing false information or notices about pending investigations against them in an attempt to obtain money. The accused also used to produce counterfeit receipt books and issue receipts for the money demanded from officials.
In this regard, a case has been registered under IPC Sections 420, 384, and 389 at Shahbad police station in Baran district who were targeted by the gang. Additionally, a case under IPC Sections 420, 384, and 389 has been filed at Jayal police station in Nagaur district.
In these cases, the accused have been identified as Vaibhav Aggarwal, resident of Jhalawar, and Devendra Rathore, resident of Kota, and have been detained by the ACB. TNN

Punjab police have announced the arrest of a drug smuggler and the recovery of 12 kg of heroin, exposing a cross-border drug smuggling racket allegedly operated by USA-based smuggler Sarwan Singh. The arrested smuggler, identified as Rahul, was found in possession of the heroin in his Honda Amaze car. Sarwan Singh is the brother of Ranjeet alias Cheeta, a wanted drug smuggler. Investigations have revealed that Rahul was in direct contact with Sarwan Singh and was importing heroin from Pakistan for distribution in Punjab. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act.

Cricket betting racket busted in Pune
A cricket betting racket was busted by the Pimpri Chinchwad crime branch in Pune. The police arrested a bookie and recovered Rs 40 lakh from him. The suspect was found accepting bets for the ICC World Cup match between England and South Africa using a mobile application. Two more individuals involved in the racket are currently being sought by the police.
