Quality Of Life: ‘good Touch Bad Touch’ Drive In 65k Schools In State From Sat | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The second phase of awareness campaign on good touch bad touch will start in 65,000 government schools in the state from Saturday as part of ‘No Bag Day’ initiative under Safe School Safe Rajasthan campaign, said officials on Wednesday. Under this, master trainers prepared at the school level will give special training to all the children from 8am till noon on the same day.
Naveen Jain, secretary of school education department, said, “Under this initiative, a ‘No-Go-Tell’ pattern is taught to children, where they are first empowered to say No and remove themselves from an uncomfortable situation, Go to someone whom they trust and Tell about the situation to them without any fear or panic.”
The secretary further said that psychologists and experts believe that if children are trained on this sensitive subject in three stages at regular intervals, then it becomes a permanent part of their understanding and behaviour.
“They can keep themselves safe from ‘unsafe touch’ with awareness and caution. For this purpose, an outline of trainings has been prepared in a phased manner by the school education department. After the second phase this month, the third phase of training will be organised in January next year,” added Jain.
He said that in the first phase of this campaign conducted on August 26 this year, more than 58 lakh children were taught about ‘unsafe touch’ in over 65,000 schools. TNN

Two years on, debris still not removed from KV school premises
Parents and students are concerned about the presence of a python in the debris of an abandoned building at Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 in Hubballi, India. The building had been demolished without permission after a leopard had taken refuge there. The Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) had been paid Rs 20 lakh to clear the debris a year ago but has yet to start the work. HDMC officials have admitted to forgetting about the issue and promise to take action soon. Parents are suggesting that Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) should file a case against HDMC.
