Quality Of Life: Police Probe Discovery Of Cash Wrappers In Bajaj Nagar | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The Jaipur police descended upon the neighbourhood of Bajaj Nagar on Wednesday morning, hot on the trail of several suspicious wrappers found near the house of a politician.
Police said, it all began when someone stumbled upon what seemed to be empty wrappers, the kind typically used to bundle wads of cash, which raised suspicions of possible unaccounted cash stashed away ahead of elections. However, DCP (East) Gyan Chandra Yadav revealed that the wrappers actually belonged to two nearby banks that had simply emptied their dustbins. Police determined that no illegality was found during the investigation.
“Wrappers were dumped on the pile of trash, and some people took photos and posted them online. However, we inspected the scene and also spoke to nearby banks, which allowed us to clarify the matter,” said an official.
He added that the police had to act swiftly as elections are around the corner, and they have been instructed to closely monitor the transportation of unaccounted cash. TNN
