Rabies: Bjp’s 3rd, 4th Lists Spring More Rebels | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The BJP’s third and fourth lists in the last 24 hours have created more rebels. The party has fielded its local leader, Swaroop Singh Khara, from the Sheo constituency, ignoring Ravindra Bhati. Bhati had joined BJP last week. He has hinted at contesting the polls as an Independent candidate. The party has rushed leaders to convince him not to take any anti-party stand. The followers of Bhati took to social media to express their anger for betraying the promise of giving him the ticket from Sheo.
“Since the fourth list was announced on Friday, Bhati called his core group to discuss the next step. He joined the party only on one condition, to be fielded from Sheo, which is his native town. He has been working hard for the past five years,” said Shiv Pratap Singh, his supporter. The nomination of Balmukund Acharya from the Hawa Mahal constituency has disappointed former local MLA Surendra Pareek and former deputy mayor Manish Pareek. Both leaders will take a call in the evening on contesting polls. They are holding meetings with their supporters.
“He was parachuted into the constituency which is very unfair to the party workers and leaders. I have communicated to the party that it will become very difficult for us to campaign for him and his image will only dent the chances of winning the minority-dominated seats,” said the party leader.
Former chief minister Vasundhara Raje’s loyalist and former cabinet minister Younus Khan has called a meeting with supporters in Deedwana to decide on contesting the polls on Saturday.
“He knew that if he did not contest the calls, his political career would be over. Even after Raje insisted on his ticket, the party didn’t agree,” said a party source. The trouble for four-time MLA Vasudev Devnani doesn’t seem to end. A senior BJP leader, Surendra Singh Shekhawat, has announced to contest the polls from Ajmer North. “I will not resign from the party but will contest as an Independent candidate. I have decided that the people of Ajmer wanted change in the leadership, which has remained unchanged for the past 25 years,” Shekhawat.
