BANSWARA: The BJP wants to create “two Hindustans” – one for the rich and crony capitalists and the other for the poor, tribal, Dalits and backwards, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said here on Monday.
“We do not want two Hindustans, we want one Hindustan where everyone gets the opportunity to fulfill one’s dreams. This is the fight, and the Congress will win it,” Rahul said, while addressing a rally of tribal people at Karana in Banswara.

A day after the conclusion of Congress’ three-day ‘Nav Sankalp Shivir’ in Udaipur, Rahul reached the tribal-dominated southern Rajasthan to lay the foundation stone of a much-needed bridge over the confluence of three rivers (Som, Mahi and Jakham) at Dungarpur district’s Beneshwar Dham, a revered place for the tribal people, and then reached the Banswara village less than a kilometre away to address the rally.
“The Congress says that we have to move forward while connecting with all, respect and protect the culture of all. The BJP works to divide, ‘crush’ and ‘suppress’. (BJP) works to remove history and culture of tribals,” he said. “We work to connect while they work to divide. We help the weaker and they help selected top industrialists,” Rahul said at the rally.

“For 70 y ears, the Congress worked to keep the country united. We are proud to be Hindus, but it is our duty to respect other religions as well. Our policies and programmes are in the interest of the nation,” the chief minister said.
