Ras Candidates: Ras Candidates Asked To Reach Centres 1 Hour Before Exam, To Be Videographed | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Preparing to conduct the RAS pre-exam on October 1, Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has asked candidates to reach the centres one hour in advance for security checks.
Officials have been instructed to ensure that videography is done for the complete exam duration to keep a check on cheating. Officials said that the focus is to ensure that mobiles do not enter the examination hall at all, either by students or invigilators.
This time over 6.97 lakh candidates have applied online for the exam which will be conducted in over 2,000 centres in 46 districts. This is the first time that examination will be conducted after the state government passed the Rajasthan Public Examination (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Act-2022. Under this law, there is a provision for life imprisonment, property attachment and a fine of up to Rs 10 crore.
“Candidates will have to answer every question and if left blank then there will be negative marking or deduction of 1/3 marks applicable this time. From this year, candidates will also get five options instead of four in the OMR sheet, the fifth option being- not attempting the question. If candidates do not select any option in more than 10% questions, then they will be disqualified from the examination. This decision has been taken to prevent tampering in the OMR sheets after the exam,” said a senior official from RPSC.
Candidates will also be given 10 minutes extra to check their answer sheets, in case they have missed marking options in any of the questions.

The accused was identified as Suraj Jarwal and has been remanded in custody. The examination was for the post of senior clerk in the agriculture department. The police have registered a case against him for cheating and criminal conspiracy. In other news, the dates for the Trade Test for the post of Head Constable in the Delhi Police Examination 2022 have been announced.
