Rainfall: Rain Lashes Raj For 3rd Day In A Row, Dataramgarh Logs 170mm | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Heavy rainfall continued at many places in the state for the third consecutive day on Sunday. Dataramgarh in Sikar received rainfall of 170mm, the highest recorded in the state. It was followed by Nawalgarh (Jhunjhunu), Udaipurwati (Jhunjhunu) and Bamanwas (Sawai Madhopur) with rainfall of 100mm, Srimadhopur (Sikar) 90mm, Fatehpur (Sikar) 80mm, Neem Ka Thana (Sikar) and Hanumangarh 70mm, and Taranagar (Churu) 60mm.

Also, rainfall varying from 50mm to 10mm was recorded at several places in the state. A day after torrential rainfall, people in Jaipur witnessed a rainfall of 50mm. Areas including Mansarover, Jhotwara, Kardhani, Malviya Nagar, Gopalpura, Raja Park, Jawahar Nagar and others witnessed rainfall in the afternoon. Though cloudy conditions prevailed throughout the day, only moderate rainfall occurred in Jaipur.
Majority of the dams in state are recording continued elevation in their water level due to the rains. The water level at Bisalpur dam, which caters to the drinking water needs of Tonk, Ajmer and Jaipur districts, reached 313.86 RL/meter against its full capacity of 315.50 RL/Meter. “A few more good spells will take it to full capacity,” said an engineer at the dam.
