Raj Govt Involved In Scams, Graft: Shah | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Union home minister Amit Shah accused the Ashok Gehlot government of doing nothing other than being involved in scams, corruption, and appeasement politics.
He was speaking at the launch of the second phase of the ‘Parivarthan Sankalp Yatra’ at Baneshwar Dham in Dungarpur on Sunday.
“Gehlot government has obstructed the developmental projects initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government which could have benefited every single state citizen,” said Shah.
He called Gehlot a magician par excellence with a great ability to disappear anything. Has he (Gehlot) not taken power from the state? Shah asked the cheering crowd, who nodded yes.
“I have seen many magicians in my childhood, and some disappear with a handkerchief or a cap. In Rajasthan, magician Gehlot has removed power from every household, health services, jobs, and security for women. We don’t need those who make tricks, but someone who works for all,” said Shah.
What did the UPA government give to the people of Rajasthan during their 10-year rule (2004–2014)? asked Shah.
“I know that you (Gehlot) will never answer this question. But I am the son of a Bania (trading community) and have my accounts ready to share. They gave Rs 1.60 lakh crore for development, while in the last nine years, the Modi government has given Rs 8.75 lakh crore,” said Shah.
He challenges Gehlot to hold a press conference in Jaipur to list out the developmental work carried out by them. Reacting to the scarcity of electricity, former chief minister Vasundhara Raje, present at the rally, said, “What is the use of providing free electricity in the state? The announcement of free electricity is baseless. The reality is that people are not getting electricity in their villages. I would like to know from Gehlot what the benefit of the announcement of free electricity is.”
