Raj Women’s Panel Questions Ncw’s Silence On Wrestlers’ Protest In Delhi | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The chairperson of Rajasthan State Commission for Women, during a media briefing on Thursday, raised questions about no action being taken by the National Commission of Women (NCW) on wrestler’s protest ongoing in Delhi.
She alleged that the voices of the aggrieved women wrestlers are being suppressed. She also said that athletes of international level should be heard and they are not protesting after being provoked by some incident or party.
Rehana Reyaz Chisti, chairperson of the commission, said, “The wrestlers protesting are women who brought fame to the country at an international level and their complaints are not being heard. They are not ordinary people, they are well known sports personalities, who have been protesting in Delhi for two months. How can other women who are not that privileged feel safe?” She said the state commission will write NCW to immediately act in the matter of the wrestlers. TNN
