On Friday, the Jaipur traffic police unveiled a special traffic arrangement for the procession scheduled to take place on both Saturday and Sunday. These measures will remain in effect until the procession concludes and returns to the City Palace.
Starting from 5 pm, vehicular traffic will be restricted from passing through the rear side of the old PHQ to Jaleb Chowk, and then proceeding to the City Palace. Similar restrictions will be applied along the stretch from Aatish Market to Shardul Singh Ji Ki Naal Road to prevent vehicles from heading towards the City Palace.
Additionally, after 5 pm, the regular traffic route that goes through Chini ki Burj via Aatish Market to reach the City Palace will be curtailed by the cops. During the same time frame, heavy vehicles will be stopped at Ramgarh Modh, preventing them from proceeding towards Jorawar Singh Gate. Similar restrictions will also be imposed on heavy vehicles on Mount Road.
The traffic police have also announced that after 5 pm on both days, restrictions will be imposed from Garh Ganesh Chauraha towards Chaugan Stadium and Gangauri Bazaar. Also, diversions have been arranged for light vehicles, allowing them to travel through the Chaugan Stadium intersection via Barah Bhaiyon ka Chauraha and then through Chandpole Bazaar. Similar alternative routes have been arranged for vehicles, redirecting them from Garh Ganesh Chauraha to Nahari ka Naka.
Talking to TOI, a senior traffic police official said that from 4 pm until the conclusion of the procession, all types of buses will be prohibited from moving through Ajmeri Gate to Kishanpole Bazaar and Chhoti Chaupar.
After the procession moves beyond Chhoti Chaupar, only light vehicles will be granted permission to proceed. Furthermore, from 3 pm, parking will be restricted in the vicinity of Sanganeri Gate, Subash Chowk, Ramganj Chaupar, and Chaugan Stadium.
Police have also prohibited buses bound for Badi Chaupar from accessing routes through Sanganeri Gate, Subash Chowk, and Ramganj starting at 4 pm.
