Rajasthan: Four charred to death after two trucks collide on Beawar-Jaipur bypass | Ajmer News

The highway was jammed as high flames erupted from both vehicles following the incident.

All the four bodies in the trucks were completely burned.
Police reached the spot to control the fire and regulate the traffic.

The police were unable to identify them, but it is believed that they were drivers and helpers of both the trucks.
Police are trying to identify the deceased based on registration numbers of the two vehicles.
“The two trucks coming from the opposite directions, one from Beawar and another from Jaipur, collided head-on,” said deputy SP Mukesh Soni.

He added that the truck coming from the Jaipur side crossed over the road divider and hit the second truck coming from the Beawar side.
Following the collision, both trucks caught fire and gave no chance to people sitting inside to escape.

Villagers gathered on the accident spot and it took two hours for the fire squad to control the flames.
Police officials reached the spot and regulated traffic on both sides.
The four bodies were sent to JLN hospital in Ajmer for post-mortem.
Police prima facie believe that the driver of one of the trucks fell asleep and lost control of the vehicle.
