Jaipur: Three students along with others have been booked for forcibly entering the residence of the Rajasthan University‘s vice-chancellor on Wednesday. Gandhi Nagar police have begun investigation in the matter after registering an FIR lodged by the university administration on Friday.
A senior police officer said that the individuals were part of a group that while protesting outside the VC’s residence on Wednesday forcibly entered the premises.
“The university administration has lodged a complaint, and we have registered the FIR in the case, charging the suspects with house trespass, criminal force to deter a public servant from discharging duty, and criminal intimidation,” stated the officer.
He said that a group of nearly 80 students gathered outside the VC’s residence.
“Three students, namely Manish Charan, Meghraj Gurjar, and Hitesh Yadav from the group, forcibly entered the VC’s residence and caused disruption inside,” the officer said. TNN
