Polo Club: Jrpc Girls Team Wins Singapore Polo Club Title | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Jaipur Riding and Polo Club (JRPC) emerged champions in the International Ladies Polo tournament which concluded at the Singapore Polo Club on Sunday.
The four-day polo tournament witnessed participation of several international teams. For the first time in the history of Indian polo, on behalf of JRPC, a ladies polo team participated and made it count by winning the title.
On their maiden voyage, they dished out a wonderful performance and emerged victorious.All three girls – Shivangi Singh, Diamond and Monique — displayed their full potential in the game, playing in the true JRPC team spirit and winning the trophy. Shivangi also won the “most valuable player” award.
JRPC president Col. KS Garcha said it was a much-needed shot in the arm in promotion of women in polo and this triumph will pave the road for JRPC ladies to ride further onto international turfs.
“This is a proud moment for Jaipur Riding & Polo Club, the girls and the entire polo fraternity. An extraordinary standard set for future international ladies’ polo tournament participation. More power to gender equality and inclusivity,” said KS Garcha.

The tournament is affiliated with the Mumbai Cricket Association and emphasizes the importance of giving young players a chance. Nayar played 99 First-Class games for Mumbai and Puducherry.
