Ranveer Singh reacts to the failure of his films before ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’: ‘You learn more from your failures than your successes’ | Hindi Movie News

Ranveer Singh made his debut in 2010 with ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ and since then, the actor has come a long way. He’s got a lot of accolades for his top-notch performances in many movies – like ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ramleela’, ‘Lootera’, ‘Padmaavat’ and ‘83‘ in recent times. However, his last few releases didn’t meet expectations at the box office. For instance, ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ and Rohit Shetty’s ‘Cirkus‘.While everyone is saying that Ranveer Singh is back with a bang with ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani‘, he admits that, he doesn’t analyse numbers as such.

During an event in Mumbai to celebrate the success of RARKPK, Ranveer reacted to the slump in his career. He said, “I don’t dwell too much into failure or success. I am grateful that I get to go on a film set and work. What matters is my character gets loved. Hence, I am grateful, no matter what. I don’t understand this numbers game at all, and I try to remain as detached from it as possible. I want to focus on the craft, performance, character and do my best to contribute to what is truly a collaborative effort. So if a film is a success, it’s not my own, it’s everybody’s together and the same goes for failure as well.”
The actor further added that he’s learnt from failures. “As they say, you learn more from your failures than your successes and I have learnt a few things in the recent past. At the moment, I’m delighted at the love being shown towards Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. I’m very grateful,” he added.

But for Ranveer, his biggest achievement is just to be an actor and to be able to play various characters and for that, he’s eternally grateful. He expressed, “It’s almost miraculous that I get to be a part of Hindi movies. Ups and downs are part of life, but I’ve always believed that the process is the price itself. If people love it, that’s sone pe suhaga… I’m happy that Rocky is another feather in the cap, in the array of characters that are very dear to me. My super purpose is to build a body of work that I can look back and be proud of. So, from Bittoo Sharma to Rocky Randhawa, it’s been quite an incredible journey.”
Meanwhile, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ is holding well even during the weekdays after a good first weekend. After the Tuesday numbers, the film has clocked around Rs 58 crores at the box office.
