Jaipur: Two labourers working in a glass factory were crushed to death and one was injured after a rashly driven car hit them on Monday morning on NH-52 at Baleykhan village under Govindgarh police station area of Jaipur (Rural).
Police arrested the accused under Section 304 of IPC for alleged culpable homicide not amounting to murder. He was taken for medical examination as primary investigation suggested that he was under the influence of alcohol.
Police said, the incident took place at 7am on Monday when the three labourers were going to the glass factory where they worked.
“The three were hit by the car, Ghasi Ram Saini (28) and Ram Raj Saini (23) were killed and one person sustained minor injuries. The injured was given first aid and left for work,” said a senior police officer of Govindgarh police station.
Police said the accused identified as Krishna Kumar Verma who was going to a village in Ringas, Sikar district from Jaipur has been arrested. “He has been booked under Section 304 which is culpable homicide not amounting to murder,” the officer added.
Primary investigation suggested that the accused was under the influence of alcohol while driving. “His blood samples were sent for the medical and FSL examination in this case,” the officer said.
