Speed Trial Of Train At 130kmph Successful | Jaipur News

Jaipur: For speedy and safe rail operations, the Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO) along with North Western Railway successfully conducted a trial of a special train at 130kmph, officials said on Wednesday.
The trial run was conducted on June 24-25 between Palanpur-Madar railway section of Ajmer division.
Chief public relations officer Captain Shashi Kiran said, “This is for the first time RDSO carried out a confirmatory oscillograph car run (COCR) with high reach overhead equipment along with Indian Railways on a 24-coach special train in Ajmer division. The test was conducted successfully with average speed of the train being 107.65 kmph and the maximum speed was recorded up to 135 kmph. The train covered 366 km in 3 hours 23 minutes.”
Apart from track parameters, various other aspects like signalling, traction distribution equipment, locomotive and coach fitness were also checked and recorded during the trial.” He further said Research Design and Standards Organization team will analyse this test and after getting approval, trains will be able to operate at high speed on this section.
