Monitor pollution real-time: Experts
Experts in Mumbai suggest that real-time monitoring of polluting sites and simultaneous assessment of measures taken to combat air pollution are necessary to address the deteriorating ambient conditions in the city. They emphasize the need to monitor construction sites, industry emissions, and traffic, and to implement clear guidelines to protect construction sites and prevent dust from escaping. The National Clean Air Program aims for a 20-30% reduction in particulate matter by 2024, but Mumbai’s air quality has worsened since its implementation in 2017. The Prime Minister’s Office has called for action to check pollution, leading to dust mitigation plans and the deployment of anti-smog guns.

Google has new rules for Android apps: How they will help users
Google has updated its developer policies to ensure that Android apps with generative AI technology include a way to report offensive content. From next year, developers will need to provide the ability to report or flag offensive AI-generated content without leaving the app. The new rules also prohibit the generation of restricted content and strengthen user privacy by limiting access to photos and videos for app functionality purposes only. Full screen intent notifications will also be limited to high-priority use cases, with other notifications requiring user permission.

Intel pushing developers to make AI-enabled PC apps, here’s why
Intel has launched the AI PC Acceleration Program to help developers create new AI-powered features for their apps. The program includes over 100 software vendors and 300 AI-powered features, and Intel will provide developers with AI toolkits, design resources, and marketing assistance. Intel’s upcoming Core Ultra mobile chips, which include a neural processing unit (NPU), will be the first to support the program. Intel expects NPUs to become a common component in all PC processors and believes they will be the go-to solution for power-intensive AI tasks.
