Reconciliation: Lakhs Of Disputes Resolved At Lok Adalats Across Raj |

Jaipur: A couple embroiled in a divorce case since April this year achieved reconciliation at the family court during a Lok Adalat on Saturday. Both offered rose garlands to each other and moved back together from the court.
The positive outcome was part of a broader success story with 590 benches across the state collectively resolved lakhs of cases.
This Lok Adalat also marked the launched of a digital platform where persons in dispute sat online and reconciled through counselling.
Anuradha (name changed upon request) and her husband were entangled in a divorce case since April this year just some months after their marriage. After counselling, the woman decided to withdraw her divorce application at the family court. Lawyers and other officers clapped for their decision to reconcile.
“Bahut badi galati ho jaati judge saab ne bhi kaye baar samjhaya thaa (We would have done a mistake, the judge too had convinced her),” said Anuradha while wiping off her tears of joy.
Similarly, two couples of different communities appeared before district judge, Bundi Dinesh Gupta and agreed for reconciliation and withdraw divorce case.. “Sometimes in fit of anger and tussle of egos, the couple decided for divorce. However, when they are counselled, they understood the value of their relationship and withdraw the cases of divorce and maintenance,” said Gupta.
A district judge at a family court in Jaipur, on the condition of anonymity, said, “In some of the cases rather than counselling the couples, we counsel their family members as the dispute is actually created by family members including father of boy or father of the girl or even mother of the boy or mother of the girl.”
At least 9 lakh cases related to Negotiable Instruments Act, SC/ST Atrocities Act and other cases, reconciliation was made among the parties in dispute. On Saturday, a digital platform was provided in which litigants were counselled through videoconferencing too.
