Jaipur: A 75-year-old man who retired as mining engineer from Hindustan Copper Limited and his wife were found murdered at their quarter in Khetri Nagar town of Jhunjhunu district on Sunday morning. Police have registered a case and suspect that some person known to them could be behind the murder and money dispute could be the reason.
The matter came to light when neighbours of Darshan Singh and his wife Mahendra Kaur (70) called them over phone in the morning. “As they were not responding, the neighbours informed us. The main door of their house was opened and their bodies were found lying on bed with tied hands and legs. One almirah in the house was also locked,” said a senior police officer of Khetri Nagar police station.
