Robbery: Cops Arrest Accused In ₹2 Crore Robbery |

Jaipur: The Neemrana police station arrested Sandeep Jat, the primary accused in a high-profile robbery case involving Rs 2 crore on Thursday. The team arrested the accused in Haryana and also seized weapons. Jat, a notorious criminal had been evading arrest for a prolonged period of 7 months before the Neemrana Police’s operation.
A police said, he was identified as the main orchestrator of the robbery who had planned the loot operation after opening a clothing shop near the targeted jewellery store. The robbery victim, Anand Kumar Soni, a 41-year-old goldsmith, residing in Mundawar, reported that he owned a shop in RTECH MALL of Neemrana.
According to his statement, the incident occurred on February 3, 2023, Sandeep Jat, accompanied by four or five masked individuals armed with weapons, forcibly entered the shop. The assailants brandished pistols and axes during the intrusion, physically assaulted Anand Kumar Soni’s brother and issued threats of violence. The situation escalated when one of the assailants discharged a firearm, ultimately resulting in the theft of gold, silver items, and diamond jewelry from the store’s inventory.

Three individuals, including two minors, were apprehended by the police for the murder of a 50-year-old man during a robbery attempt in Delhi’s Sarita Vihar. The victim, a receptionist, was stabbed when he resisted the robbery. The main suspect, Rajkumar, was arrested based on information from informers, and his juvenile accomplices were apprehended later. The incident was confirmed to be a fallout of a robbery bid.
