Rsrtc’s Jpr To Mum Bus Service Cut Short Till Surat | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Three months after Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) started the Jaipur-Mumbai bus service, it has hit a roadblock, as the corporation has now reduced its distance till Surat due to lack of passengers, said officials on Tuesday.
In February, state transport minister Brijendra Ola had flagged off nine new air-conditioned sleeper cum chair car luxury buses on different routes including a new bus service between Jaipur-Mumbai. The minister had then said that looking at the transport demand, the department will continue the bus service to Mumbai via Ajmer, Sirohi and Surat and tickets were priced at Rs 2,048.
Officials said that the frequency of this bus service has not been reduced.“The bus service has not been stopped but it now operates till Surat, as in the last stretch of 100-150kms we noticed that passenger load was 10% or even less,” said Nathmal Didel, managing director, RSRTC.
