Mohan Bhagwat attends meeting at state RSS HQ
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat attended an organizational meeting in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The closed-door meetings focused on discussing the Sangh’s activities in the state. Bhagwat urged RSS functionaries to work among non-Hindus, emphasizing the organization’s “samajik sadbhav” (social amity) agenda. He also expressed concerns about religious conversion and ‘love jihad’, urging aggressive measures to address these issues. Analysts suggest that Bhagwat’s appeal for inclusivity may have implications for the BJP, the political arm of the RSS. The BJP may need to adjust its strategy to attract non-Hindus without alienating its traditional Hindu voter base.
