Jaipur: The office of the commissioner for specially abled persons did not to give any information, while replying to an RTI application, about the total amount proposed to the directorate for sanctioning funds under the ‘Mission Tehsil 392’ campaign, which was organised to address the grievances and solve problems of specially-abled persons in the state.
While replying to the RTI application filed by Hemant Bhai Goyal, the office stated that the specifications mentioned in the particular question were not clear.
The applicant had also sought copies of note-sheets pertaining to communication exchanged between both the departments in this regard.
Replying to a question seeking to know the date when the current commissioner for specially-abled persons, Uma Shankar Sharma, surrendered his license to practice as an advocate after his appointment to the same post, the office stated such records were not maintained by it.
The RTI reply also revealed that 46 decisions have been taken by the office of the commissioner for specially-abled persons from February 15, 2022 to January 15, 2023.
The office further asked the applicant to arrive at the commissioner’s office within a month to obtain information about decisions taken in favour of the applicants.
On seeking the copies of decisions – related to registered cases – taken suo motu by the office of the commissioner for specially-abled persons from February 15, 2022 to January 15, 2023, it stated that the specifications mentioned in the particular question were not clear.
Having sought copies of note-sheets/documents/orders pertaining to daily action taken as per Section 81 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, the office stated that ‘it was not clear from the application that copies of which documents were sought by the applicant.
