Kota: A squad from Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) reached Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) here on Monday to probe charges of corruption and disproportionate assets in response to an anonymous complaint against several employees of the varsity, including the dean and the registrar. The charges include harassment of students, over-charging of fees for examination forms, corruption amounting to Rs 7 crore in the purchase of equipment, and disproportionate assets, said sources. “We inquired with the employees concerned and sought necessary documents from them. Our headquarters had received an anonymous complaint and we (ACB’s Kota-Rural office) were directed to probe the matter,” said Prerna Shekhawat, the ASP of ACB’s Kota (rural) office. Both the VC and the registrar of RTU were not present in their offices when the ACB team reached there, she said. tnn
