According to Jawahar Circle SHO Radha Raman Gupta, the man, identified as Amit Rajpurohit and a resident of Malviya Nagar, has been arrested.

“Police had cordoned off nearby intersections and roads as part of the VIP route protocol when the CM’s convoy left the airport. The cops had stopped vehicular traffic on a three-way junction near the flyover on Jaipuria Road.”
Barely five minutes after the convoy had passed through the flyover, traffic constable Mahesh Chand waved at Rajpurohit to stop his vehicle, but the latter did not budge. The constable caught hold of the car’s bonnet to stop it from speeding away and hung on to it.
The cops posted on the route were quickly alerted and frantic communications were sent over the wireless.
Meanwhile, Gupta, who was present on the same road, asked his driver to chase the car. “I asked the car driver to stop his vehicle many times. But he simply refused to obey the order,” he said. Gupta and his team then outran Rajpurohit’s car and overtook it. He was finally stopped outside Jaipuria Hospital.
