Sanitation Workers May Go On Strike Again Over Recruitment | Jaipur News

Jaipur: A month after sanitation workers had talks with the state government, they are planning to go on strike again over demands not being met. On Monday, a delegation of sanitation workers will submit a memorandum to the DLB director.
The workers had been demanding that recruitment notification of staff should be issued without reservation and staff from Valmiki community who have been working on contractual basis since 2018 must be given preference. Last month, after talks with sanitation workers, the state government had said that recruitment of over 13000 workers will be done based on the demands of the union.
Representatives from the Sanyukt Valmiki Evam Safai Shramik Sangh said that on Monday they will submit the last letter to the director of department of urban local bodies, after which if action is not taken then sanitation staff will go on strike again. TNN
