Jaipur: The office of the disability commissioner has sought an action taken report from the director general of police (DGP), Rajasthan, and ADGP (Civil Rights) on displaying information about Section 92 of the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) Act at every police station of the state in order to prevent crime against specially-abled persons. The Section 92 of the PwD Act guarantees imprisonment up to five years, along with fine, for the convict.
The state’s police department had earlier issued directions to SPs of all the districts to display information about Section 92 of the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Act at every police station of the state in order to prevent crime against specially-abled persons.
