Security Personnel: 1.02L security personnel deployed in Raj Jaipur for assembly polls | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Chief electoral officer (CEO) Praveen Gupta said on Thursday that over 1.02 lakh security personnel have been deployed in the state to ensure peaceful assembly polls on Saturday. The security forces include 69,114 personnel of Rajasthan Police, 32,876 of Rajasthan Home Guard, and 700 companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), apart from forest guards and RAC.
In all, 5,26,90,146 voters will decide the fate of the candidates at 51,507 polling stations in the 200 assembly constituencies. As many as 1,70,99,334 voters are in the 18-30 age group, including 22,61,008 new voters in the 18-19 age group. Gupta said polling stations have been set up at 36,101 places.
Special caller tones: The state’s election department has started spreading messages through ‘caller tones’ of telecom service providers such as Jio, BSNL, Airtel and Vodafone.

The second phase of polling in Chhattisgarh, to its 90-seat Assembly on November 17, began in 70 Assembly constituencies. Over 18,800 polling stations have been set up for the second phase of polling. The counting of votes for the five states including Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram will be done on December 3.
