Shanti Path: Commuters’ Troubles Persist On Shanti Path | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Commuters travelling on Shanti Path, especially towards Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, continue to face traffic congestion. Unregistered vendors on roads and diversion of long-distance buses to this route due to laying of pipelines at Govind Marg have slowed down the speed of vehicles. The queue of vehicles at JDA Circle crossing is getting longer each day.
“These buses would keep to the left, but now these buses have to take a right turn from the JDA crossing. At the signal, the free-left is getting blocked because of buses and the queue of vehicles is getting longer, often reaching the tiraha of Vijay Path,” a traffic constable claimed.
Officials on duty said that they often walk down towards the Vijay Path Tiraha to ask the bus driver to keep right, so that vehicles can take the free left at JDA Circle.
Vendors add to the congestion. “Removing the unregistered vendors—at least till the diversion lasts—and deployment of additional manpower who would ask vehicles going towards Rambagh Circle and Trimurti Circle to keep right are the two important steps of the hour,” another traffic constable said.
Speaking to TOI, a senior traffic department officials stated that talks are on with the municipal corporation and soon action would be taken against the vendors. TNN
