Jaipur: The education department will focus on teachers training by adopting innovative approaches to provide ‘quality education’ to students in government schools, said secretary of school education. Special training, refresher coursesand training sessions will be held for teachers in a timely manner, said officials. “Teachers should openly share their ideas, so that the goal of continuous improvement in level of education can be realized,” said the secretary.TNN

By March, Punjab will have no government school without a teacher or with a single teacher, a significant improvement from the previous situation where 3,500 schools were teacherless or had only one teacher. The state government aims to equip all 20,000 government schools with WiFi by March, with 4,000 schools already having the system installed. Additionally, the government plans to convert 117 government senior secondary schools into Schools of Eminence, starting with Government Senior Secondary School Chheharta, Amritsar. These schools already have excess land available, and new blocks are being constructed on this land. A budget provision of Rs 204.80 crore has been made for these schools.

IIT Tirupati to give special training for teachers of PM SHRI schools
The Union government has selected 662 schools in Andhra Pradesh for the PM SHRI scheme, which aims to develop model schools. The Andhra Pradesh education department is partnering with Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati (IIT-Tirupati) to provide training to teachers. Additionally, the department is in discussions with the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) to introduce foreign language learning in affiliated CBSE schools. This initiative is aimed at improving students’ language skills and employment opportunities.
