Sikar Murders: Hosp Ward Boy, Shooter From Hry Held | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Two men, including a shooter from Haryana, were arrested on Thursday for the murder of a woman and her son at Hamirpura Kalan in Sikar district.
Sikar SP Paris Deshmukh said the main accused, Kamlesh Yadav, and shooter Rinku alias Rikash Jat, who hails from Haryana, were arrested for the double murder at Hamirpura Kalan under Khandela police station. Rinku had been absconding after being sentenced to life imprisonment in a murder case in Haryana earlier.
On August 22, a police team reached the scene at Hamirpura Kalan and found the bodies of Sajna Devi and her son Lokesh. While Lokesh had been shot dead, Sanjana’s body bore signs of strangulation and hanging. A case was registered on the basis of a report from Lokesh’s brother, Mukesh. The bodies appeared to have been lifeless for nearly two days.
Deshmukh said a 16-member team was formed to investigate this double murder. “The probe unveiled that Kamlesh Yadav had been frequenting Sanjana’s residence in the days before the murders. Kamlesh was tracked to various locations, including Gohana, Panipat, and Rohtak through a combination of technical surveillance and tips from informers. The team learnt that the shooter, Rinku, was present there alongside Kamlesh. Police raided a house at Kharkhoda on the night of August 30 and caught both suspects even as they attempted to flee to the rooftop,” the SP said.
According to police, Kamlesh Yadav was employed as a ward boy at a hospital and was involved in illicit activities, including prostitution. “Yadav lived in a rented house with his girlfriend in Jaipur. He had lured Lokesh into a marriage arrangement in exchange for Rs 5 lakh,” said an officer.
“Lokesh had borrowed Rs 3.70 lakh from his brother-in-law and handed it over to Kamlesh, who then scheduled the marriage for September 8. But Kamlesh hatched a scheme and took help from his friend, shooter Rinku, who was evading a life sentence in a murder case. He told Rinku that a person at the hospital was causing him trouble and he wanted to get rid of him,” the SP said.
On August 20, Kamlesh left his mobile phone in his Jaipur room and went to Khandela, where he and Rinku spent the night at the victims’ house, said the officer. “In the night, Rinku shot Lokesh as the latter slept. In fear of being caught, Kamlesh and Rinky strangled Sanjana, using a towel, and staged her hanging with a rope.”
