Jaipur: Two sisters, both married in the same family in Alwar’s Kathumar area, were found dead under mysterious circumstances on Saturday.
Police identified the deceased as Vandana Jat (22) and her sister Anjana Jat (20), who were married to two brothers. Their father has alleged that they were killed after persistent harassment for dowry.
SP (Alwar) Anand Sharma said that both bodies were discovered in one room. He said that the father of the women has alleged that they were subjected to harassment for additional dowry since their marriage. He claimed to have already paid Rs 2,51,000 and provided a bike as dowry.
