Skin Cancer: Ru Gets Notice From Divyang Court Officer | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The court of the state commissioner for specially abled persons has issued a showcause notice to Rajasthan University for not setting up a grievance redressal cell dedicated to specially abled individuals as per court directions. The university has been asked to comply with the previous order within 30 days, else, contempt proceedings would be initiated against it, the notice stated. Earlier, the court had directed the university to constitute a grievance redressal cell dedicated to specially abled individuals, and had also ordered it to compensate Dr Vinita Nair, an assistant professor of philosophy, with Rs 25,000. Nair was compelled to seek assistance from the court of the state commissioner for the specially abled persons due to the absence of a grievance redressal mechanism within the university. Uma Shankar Sharma, state commissioner for the specially abled persons, issuing a showcause notice on August 29, said, “You have been informed by reminder by this court to comply with the order but the same has been neglected by you.” TNN
