Skin Cancer: Udh Min Dhariwal Takes Stock Of Projects In Jaipur | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Urban development and housing (UDH) minister Shanti Dhariwal on Thursday visited different project sites, like the IPD tower being constructed at SMS Hospital, Laxmi Mandir crossing, Jawahar Circle, to review the development work. The minister took stock of the progress and instructed the contractors and officers to complete the work soon.
The minister instructed the contractors and JDA officials of the projects to work at a fast pace and complete the beautification work of Jawahar Circle by September 15 and the beautification and traffic improvement work at Laxmi Mandir Tiraha by September 25.
While addressing the media after the review work, the minister said that the goal should not be to just complete the work and cut the ribbon for inauguration, but work should be done fast to ensure that the public gets benefit on time.
During the inspection of IPD tower, the minister got angry with officials from Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) as they could not answer a single question. The minister asked the officials who was responsible for the delay in the work.
“Kota city has become completely signal free, there are no red lights in Kota, and movement of vehicles has become so smooth. Earlier, distances that would take 45 minutes, residents are now covering within 20 minutes. Work needs to be done in a timely manner, because finishing the projects is not the priority; rather, giving better facilities to residents is important,” said Dhariwal while talking to reporters.
In the inspection, it was revealed that one of the reasons for the delay was a time period of 15 days being taken for setting the roof of a floor at the IPD tower, while another reason was that it had not been decided yet if the IPD tower will have floors of granite or of marble.
