Sonia Gandhi: Cong Candidate’s Slip Of Tongue At Rally In Dudu | Jaipur News
Jaipur: A former Independent candidate who recently secured the Congress ticket for the Dudu seat found himself in a precarious situation when he, while urging the crowd to chant slogans, mistakenly called for “Murdabaad” slogans against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
On the day of filing his nomination on Thursday, Babulal Nagar held an election meeting in the presence of chief minister Ashok Gehlot and Congress’s state in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa. His supporters kept chanting slogans in his favour, even during the address of Singh Randhawa. During this, Nagar reached the stage with a microphone in his hand and urged them to remain calm, then made the terrible faux pas.
“If you want to speak, say Congress party and Ashok Gehlot zindabad… Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi murdabaad,” he said with the mike in his hand.
