State Govt: New state govt’s challenge to fulfil ‘Modi guarantees’ | Jaipur News

Jaipur: With the new chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma assuming office, the focus now shifts to how the new government will deliver its promises.
Showing its commitment to the guarantees announced during the election campaign, the government in the front-page newspaper advertisements on Friday, on the swearing-in of the CM highlighted PM Narendra Modi’s guarantees.
The party promised LPG cylinders at Rs 450 to the poor, special investigation team (SIT) to investigate paper leaks and scams during Congress government, compensation to farmers whose lands were auctioned over loan dues, strong measures for women’s safety, and reduction in petrol and diesel prices, among others.
The party had targeted the Gehlot government on paper leaks and alleged Congress leaders’ involvement in this matter. Though the ED has been investigating the matter, it could not implicate any leader so far. Now the new government says it will form SIT to probe the matter and other corruption charges. But it is to be seen if the strategy is to keep the issue alive till the Lok Sabha elections or it is genuine.
Similarly, the party has been attacking the Gehlot government on loan waiver. The state government had waived off loans worth about Rs 15,000 crore in the cooperative sector which comes under the state government but could not waive loans from the nationalised and commercial banks.
The Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers’ Association has been demanding rationalisation of VAT (value added tax) as they were losing business to neighbouring states due to high VAT. This time, the BJP has announced that petrol and diesel prices will be reduced. tnn

Government has ‘warning’ for Galaxy S23, other Samsung smartphone users
The governments cybersecurity watchdog, CERT-in, issued a high-risk warning for Samsung smartphone users about multiple vulnerabilities, including Android 13 and the Galaxy S23. The vulnerabilities allow attackers to bypass security restrictions, execute arbitrary code, and gain access to sensitive information. They can trigger heap overflow, stack-based buffer overflow, access device SIM PIN, bypass Knox Guard lock, and read AR Emoji sandbox data. The flaws are due to improper access control, integer overflow, improper authorization verification, exception management, out of bounds write vulnerabilities, and implicit intent hijacking.
