Stray Cattle: Jmc-h Seizes 40kg Of Fodder For Stray Cattle From Roads | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The JMC-Heritage administration has seized 40 kg of fodder for stray cattle from roadsin ward number 59 (Kishanpole zone). On the instructions of commissioner Rajendra Singh Shekhawat, deputy commissioner of Kishanpole zone, Kaushal Katumbara, on Tuesday took action in ward number 59 from where complaints of stray animals were being received.The staff could not catch any stray animals on the roads but seized 40 kg of fodder found on roads.
Officials said that orders have been issued urging residents not to give fodder to stray cattle, especially during the festive season when traffic on roads is higher than usual and the presence of stray cattle increases the risk of accidents.
“The city residents feed cattle near temples due to which the traffic gets disturbed. Visitors to temples and local residents also have to face trouble due to such garbage lying on roads,” said commissioner Shekhawat.
“A team of corporation workers was sent on Tuesday and action was taken, during which 40 kg of fodder was seized on the spot,” he added.
The vigilance wing of JMC-H also took action to remove debris from the Delhi Bypass road on Tuesday. Four tractors and a pick-up vehicle were seized from the spot.
Shekhawat said that complaints about dumping of debris at night on the bypass were being received repeatedly. “Keeping Jaipur city clean and beautiful is the collective responsibility of all of us. It is our moral duty to cooperate with the corporation administration in keeping the city clean,” said the commissioner.

‘How many killed during BJP rule,’ asks Akhilesh over stray cattle menace
Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav has demanded the Uttar Pradesh government to disclose the number of deaths caused by attacks from stray cattle during the BJP’s five-year rule. He questioned the sincerity of the BJP leaders’ promises to solve the issue before the elections. Yadav also raised concerns about the functioning of cow shelters and the alleged corruption in them. During the 2022 assembly polls, BJP leaders had pledged to address the problem of stray cattle within 15 days of coming to power.

MBBS stray counselling delayed in TN
The special stray counselling planned by the medical counselling committee of the Directorate General of Health Services has been delayed due to uncertainty over 50 seats in Vels Medical College. The central Medical Counselling Committee has announced a special stray round of counselling to save over 1,000 MBBS seats. The Madras high court has directed the authorities to conduct counselling for 50 seats in Vels Medical College, but the fate of these seats is yet to be decided. State counselling authorities are allowing students to register and lock choices for seats in self-financing colleges and private medical universities.
