Stray Cattle: Kota Man Killed As Car Overturns In Attempt To Evade Stray Cattle |

Kota: A 41-year-old marketing manager of a pesticide company died at hospital minutes after his car collided with a divider in an attempt to evade stray cattle on Borkheda Pullia on late Sunday night.
The deceased man was identified as Pushp Dayal Nagar (41), a resident of Bajranj Nagar in Kota city.
According to Nagar’s son, Nikhil, he had left home for Jhalipura late on Sunday night for some urgent office work when his car collided with the divider on Borkheda Pullia in an attempt to evade stray cattle.
Nikhil came to know of the mishap after his father was rushed to MBS Hospital. He said that when he reached the hospital, he found his father lying on a stretcher in a critical condition unattended by any doctor or any medical staff.
“After 10-15 minutes, he succumbed to death on the stretcher. He could have been saved if he had got timely treatment,” he said.
Meanwhile, ASI at Borkheda police station, Brijraj said a case of accidental death was lodged in the matter.

UT dept to hold census of stray cattle, dogs after 1 yr
The UT animal husbandry department in Chandigarh will conduct its 21st census of stray cattle and dogs, as well as pet dogs, in the city from October 1, 2024. The exercise aims to determine the extent of the stray animal problem that the city has been struggling to control. Conducted every five years under a centrally sponsored scheme, the census requires sufficient manpower and funds. The previous census in 2018-19 recorded a stray dog population of 12,922, while a tentative survey in 2023 estimated the number at 9,503.

2 cars collide at Dona Paula near hospital
Two cars collided outside a prominent hospital in Dona Paula, Goa. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. Quick responses from the drivers and bystanders prevented serious injuries.
