Strong Rooms: ‘ensure Quick Repair Of Strong Rooms For Evms’ | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Police supervisor Gaurav Sharma on Tuesday inspected strong rooms set up for storing EVMs that will be used for polling in several Jaipur district constituencies. Sharma conducted the inspection to ensure compliance with guidelines of the Election Commission of India and to take stock of election-related preparations.
Sharma during his inspection instructed officials to complete the ongoing repair workin the strong rooms as soon as possible.Speaking to the media later, he said, “The EVM machines in the strong rooms will be safe and protected during the assembly elections. For this, the repair work of the strong rooms needs to be completed soon. The strong rooms will be inspected again next week.”
ADM Lokesh Meena and other officers concerned were present during the supervisor’s inspection.
The Election Commission of India has appointed police observers for the successful conduct of assembly elections.
Senior Indian Police Service officer Gaurav Sharma has been appointed for Phulera, Dudu, Sanganer, Bagru and Chaksu assembly constituencies of Jaipur district.
