Summer plan: Jaipur airport to add 24% more flights per week | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: In the latest summer schedule implemented at the Jaipur International Airport, the airport is likely to increase 24% more weekly flight operations than the winter schedule.
Summer schedule is effective from March 26-October 28. Officials said Air Traffic Movement (ATM) is expected to grow by 24% from the current 801 weekly ATMs to 990 weekly ATMs by September.
“The flights connecting Bareilly and Pant Nagar by Indigo have already started with execution of summer schedule. Among the other new routes slated to start by Indigo are Nagpur (four days a week), Bhopal (three days a week), Ranchi (three days a week), Durgapur via Patna (seven days a week) and Cochin via Mumbai (four days a week).
“Similarly, SpiceJet will operate on three new routes including Pune (10 departures weekly), Surat (four days a week) and Goa via Surat (four days a week). Star Air and Vistara will open new routes to Belgaun and Bengaluru with six-day and seven-day weekly operations,” said the official spokesperson of Jaipur airport.
Officials said that Air Asia will open a new route to Kuala Lumpur with seven-day week operations, Oman Air will start new route to Muscut and Nok Air to Bangkok with seven-day and three-day per week operations, respectively.
“International frequency will also increase with Air India Express introducing two weekly departures to Dubai and Thai Air Asia introducing two weekly departures to Bangkok by September 23,” said the spokesperson.
Officials also said that for domestic travel, Indigo has announced to introduce additional week departures to cities like Chandigarh (6), Dehradun (3), Jodhpur (3) and Bengaluru (2).
Air Asia India will increase weekly departures to Mumbai (4), Bangaluru via Hyderabad (4), and Ranchi via Delhi (4).
Spice Jet will increase weekly departures to Delhi (14), Ahmedabad (4) and Amritsar (4). Air India too has announced to increase weekly departure to Mumbai (seven days a week).
