Suv Recovery: Inter-state Car Thief Held In Bhilwara, Suv Worth ₹40l Recovered |

Jaipur: Bhilwara police arrested a New Delhi-based notorious inter-state car thief on Tuesday and recovered an SUV worth Rs 40 lakh from him.
Gulabpura police station house officer (SHO), Sugan Singh Bijarania, explained that a police team was posted on NH-48 when they spotted a suspicious white SUV. The driver of the speeding vehicle attempted to make a U-turn, and the car was subsequently stopped for interrogation.
The accused was identified as Sahil Khan (20), a native of Uttar Pradesh currently residing in New Delhi. After stealing the SUV, he left Delhi at 3am and reached Bhilwara around 8am, where the police tracked him down. The police reported that the SUV seized from the accused had different chassis and engine numbers. When Khan spotted the police checkpost, he tried to flee, leaving the car near an intersection. He ran for nearly 2km and hid behind bushes to evade the police. Bijarania mentioned that the accused had been involved in as many as eight major car heists across different cities, including Faridabad and Gurgaon. “The police have identified the accused as a notorious thief who steals luxurious vehicles and quickly flees from the city, heading to the highway to avoid interception,” Bijarania said. tnn
