Ecce: ‘make Quality Education Accessible To Kids’ | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Officials of the women and child development department have been asked to ensure that resources for early childhood care and education (ECCE) are accessible to all children in the age group of 3-6 years in the state.
During a review meeting on ECCE, department secretary Jitendra Upadhyay said that ECCE can be further strengthened in the state with effective monitoring and better planning.
“It is our aim to make quality ECCE accessible to every child. Child-friendly furniture, pre-school education kit, and ECCE co-training is being provided to the officers and workers of the department for distribution to children of 3-6 years in coordination of all the departments,” said Upadhyay.
Samit Sharma, the secretary for social justice and empowerment department, said officials must ensure that material sent for ECCE should reach the beneficiaries and that parents of the children should also be linked to the scheme. He also suggested sharing of data between the department and ICDS.
The ECCE programme focuses on making learning playful for children in the age group of 3-6 years to enhance their linguistic and cognitive development. A timetable set for children under ECCE focuses on activities to ensure development of linguistic, creative and cognitive faculties.
