BJP, Cong fail to persuade several heavyweight rebels
Both the BJP and Congress in Indore and Ujjain divisions have struggled to persuade rebels to withdraw their nominations as the deadline for withdrawal ended. Several heavyweight leaders have decided to contest as rebels, including senior Congress leader Antar Singh Darbar in Indore and former MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan’s son Harshwardhan in Burhanpur. Some of the expelled members, including Kuldeep Singh Sikarwar and Pradyumn Verma, are running on BSP tickets, while RR Bansal has filed his nomination for Jatara.
