Cbi: Assets Case: Cbi Recovers ₹42 Lakh During Searches | Jaipur News
Jaipur: A day after registering a case of Disproportionate Assets (DA) case against assistant commissioner, CGST, Gandhidham and his wife, various teams conducted raids at several places in Rajasthan and Gujarat on Thursday.
According to CBI, nearly Rs 42 lakh was recovered from these raids by various teams. As per CBI, the case was lodged against Mahesh Chowdhary, an assistant commissioner, CGST posted at Gandhidham and his wife in which it is alleged that the accused had accumulated disproportionate assets in the form of huge cash, bank balances, movable and immovable properties during the check period 2017 to 2021 in their names and in the names of family members. “His income was found 74% higher compared to his legitimate sources of income. Raids were conducted at various places in Gujarat and Rajasthan,” said an officer of CBI on the condition of anonymity.
CBI in its searches have found Rs 42 lakh, foreign currencies, Jewellery, costly watches and documents related to property were found so far. TNN
