Phed Orders Probe Into Tender Scam | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED) has decided to form a high-level committee to ‘re-investigate’ the allegations made by BJP Rajya Sabha MP Kirori Lal Meena on appointment of two private firms for projects related to Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). The decision was taken in the finance committee of PHED on Wednesday.
“Although we had conducted an inquiry and got a clean chit from the chief executive officer (CEO) of ICRON in a letter dated April 7, chief vigilance officer (CVO) of ICRON had forwarded the same complaint again on June 7. Since the complaint has been forwarded from a Government of India Undertaking, we are taking it seriously and would re-investigate the claims by a high-level committee,” said a senior PHED official. As per allegations, the two contractors – Ganapati Tubewell Company and Shri Shyam Tubewell Company – had bagged tenders by submitting fake certificates of ICRON. TNN
