Tournament: Bm Birla Polo Cup To Begin Today |

Jaipur: The much-awaited and upgraded September 2023 polo season will begin on Tuesday with the 6-goal BM Birla Cup tournament. As many as 10 teams are participating in the five-day tourney. These teams have been divided into three 3 pools. Mayfair Polo, V Polo, Topchi, Chunda Polo, Jaipur, Bangalore Greys and Col. Girdhari Singh, ASC will compete for the top honours. The finals will be played on September 24.
There will be a total of five tournaments this season. These matches will be played at 61 Cavalry Ground and Rajasthan Polo Club Ground. The final and exhibition matches will be played at Rajasthan Polo Club ground.
Khelo India women’s league athletics meet tomorrow
Khelo India Women’s League Athletics Championship, organised by Rajasthan Athletics Association (RAA) under the auspices of Sports Authority of India and Athletics Federation of India, will be held on September 20 at the synthetic track of SMS Stadium. Senior joint secretary of RAA, Surendra Singh Gurjar said that competitions of 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, 5000m races, high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put, javelin throw, and discus throw will be held. tnn

Second Khelo India women league 2023 to start from Sept 17
The Uttar Pradesh Athletic Association (UPAA) will be hosting the second Khelo India women’s league in 2023. The event will take place at the Sports Authority of India’s regional center in Lucknow on September 17. Women athletes over the age of 16 from all district units affiliated with UPAA are eligible to participate in various track and field events. The deadline for entries is September 15.
DKM are Khelo India champions
Dharampeth Krida Mandal (DKM) girls won the Asmita Khelo India U-17 Girls Basketball Championship by defeating Shivaji Nagar Gymkhana (SNG) 43-40. DKM’s strong defensive play and timely contributions from their players led them to victory. Gunjan Mantri of SNG scored 18 points but couldn’t lift her team against DKM’s efforts. In the third-place match, United Basketball Academy (UBA) defeated Nutan Bharat Yuwak Sangh (NBYS) 35-31. The tournament was presented by the Basketball Federation of India (BFI) and Sports Authority of India (SAI).
