Criminal: Criminal Dons Saree To Evade Cops, Held | Jaipur News

Jaipur: In a daring escape attempt, a 44-year-old criminal and master of disguise donned a saree on a Friday to flee from Bharatpur.
SP (Bharatpur) Mridual Kachawa said that the police arrested Devendra Bahgel alias Sonu while he was still wearing a saree and trying to flee after firing at a dairy booth owner on September 18.
He said that the police teams were actively searching for the accused when they noticed a suspicious woman standing at Sheesham Tiraha.
They approached the woman for questioning and soon discovered that the individual in question was attempting to conceal their identity by wearing a saree.
The accused had apparently been preparing to board a vehicle bound for Jaipur.
When the police attempted to inquire about the person’s name and address, the suspect made an attempt to flee.
“However, the police officers managed to surround and arrest the accused,” Kachawa said.
