India’s 2nd Largest Cricket Stadium To Come Up In City | Jaipur News

Jaipur: World’s third and India’s second largest cricket stadium is going to be built in Jaipur, for which a MoU will be signed between Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) and Vedanta’s Hindustan Zinc (HZL) in a function to be held at the RCA Academy here on Thursday.
On the occasion of Invest Rajasthan Summit 2022, organized by Rajasthan Government, Anil Agarwal, chairman, Vedanta Group, had announced cooperation in the International Cricket Stadium being constructed by RCA.
In the MoU signing ceremony to be organized on Rajasthan Day at RCA Academy, CP Joshi, speaker, Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and chief patron, RCA, Vaibhav Gehlot, RCA president, Priya Agarwal Haiber, chairperson, HZL and director, Vedanta Limited, Arun Mishra, CEO, HZL, Ritu Jhingon, director group communication, Vedanta Limited, will be present.
As per the decision taken by RCA, after signing the MoU, the name of the stadium will be kept as “Anil Agarwal International Cricket Stadium, Jaipur”.
The Government of Rajasthan has allotted 100 acres of land at village Choup, Delhi Road, Jaipur and the construction is in full swing. This international cricket stadium, being constructed by RCA in Jaipur, will have a spectator’s capacity of 75,000.
The mega project will be done in two phases, in which the work of the first phase is under construction. A world class stadium with a capacity of 40,000 spectators will be constructed at a cost of Rs 400 crore, out of which Rs 300 crore will be borne by HZL and the remaining amount of Rs 100 crore by RCA.
International level facilities like 11 cricket pitches, 2 practice grounds, 1 cricket academy, hostel, parking facility, sports club, hotel, gym will be available in this international level cricket stadium. After the completion of the first phase, the second part of the ambitious project will begin next year.
Bhavani Shankar Samota, RCA secretary, Shakti Singh Rathore, RCA vice-president, Rampal Sharma, RCA treasurer, Rajesh Bhadana, RCA joint secretary, Farooq Ahmed and secretaries of various district cricket associations will also be present during the MoU ceremony. tnn
