Rajasthan CM News: BJP MLAs keep meeting netas as party mum on new CM face | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: even as the newly elected BJP legislators in Rajasthan and the state’s people are growing impatient over the delay in the announcement of the next chief minister, the saffron party’s state leaders are tight-lipped about the matter.
The party’s leaders have a standard reply to all questions about the next CM: “The party’s parliamentary board will decide the name of the CM.”
BJP state president CP Joshi and party in-charge for the state Arun Singh received the newly elected MLAs at the party’s state headquarters for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. The two leaders also held short meetings with around 15 MLAs. Some of the questions the MLAs asked were about the date of the new legislature party’s meeting, the appointment of observers, the formation of government, and the next CM.
“During the meeting, I communicated the concerns of my constituency and shared my plan of action with them. It is always good to connect with our state office as it is our first point of contact. We receive calls from our supporters and scribes from our local areas everyday about the party’s next step. It would be good if we can share some information with them,” said an MLA, requesting anonymity.
The MLAs who held meetings with Joshi and Singh on Wednesday included Kuldeep Dhankar, Jitendra Gotwal, Srichand Kriplani, Harlal Saharan, Vickram Bansiwal, and Anita Bhadel.
The outgoing Leader of the Opposition, Rajendra Rathore, who lost the poll in Taranagar constituency, also held a meeting with Joshi and Singh on Wednesday. “The discussions were related to the polls and the formation of government. At this point, only PM Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah know the face of the CM. We all can only speculate or try to read their minds,” said a senior BJP leader, requesting anonymity.
BJP state spokesperson Laxmikant Bhardwaj downplayed the reasons behind the MLAs’ meeting the party’s leaders.

Punjab: Attack on BJP leader raises security concerns of Saffron party leaders
The recent attack on Verka Mandal Pradhan, Gurmukh Singh Bal, a young BJP leader, has raised concerns about the security of party members in Punjab. The BJP Amritsar president, Harwinder Singh Sandhu, expressed ongoing concerns about the worsening law and order situation in the state. He highlighted a previous attack on Balwinder Gill and suggested that politically motivated individuals may be targeting BJP leaders due to the party’s growing influence. Despite the police claiming that the incident was an accident, Gurmukh maintained that it was a deliberate attack by assailants who opened gunfire on their vehicle.
