Tea Shop: Bhatta Basti On Edge After Scuffle At Tea Shop, Bjp Leader Blames Police | Jaipur News

Jaipur: An altercation that broke out between two groups at a tea shop on Sunday morning put the Bhatta Basti area on edge.
ACP (Shastri Nagar) Rajesh Kumar Jangid claimed that the incident took place around 6 am on Sunday when there was a brief scuffle at a tea shop in the area. He said that some miscreants also vandalized a car, but the situation was peaceful, and there were no further flare-ups.
The police said that they have arrested a few suspects and are making efforts to track down the remaining miscreants. The police also mentioned that they are scanning CCTV footage to identify the suspects.
Meanwhile, former BJP minister Arun Chaturvedi accused the Jaipur police of a delayed and slow response in the matter. “The incident took place at the BJP office-bearer Sohan Lal Choudhary’s house. The accused attacked a tea shop located in the house in which Sohan’s son Mahendra Choudhary was injured,” he alleged.
He further said that miscreants smashed Choudhary’s car while the Bhatt Basti police station did not respond promptly to the incident. Chaturvedi stated, “It was only when he arrived at the scene around 7 a.m. that the police became active and took action.”
The shops and markets throughout Bhatta Basti remained open and were bustling with people, even as the police were deployed in various areas. Police vans and RAC constables continued to patrol every nook and corner until late Sunday evening.
The incident in Bhatta Basti occurred just a day after tensions had flared up in some Walled City areas on Saturday due to the youth’s death.
